Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS)
Within the Foundation stage we have worked hard to create a curriculum that allows the Nursery year and Reception year to complement each other. This builds on skills that are established in Nursery within Reception to enable children to become school ready at the end of the Foundation stage.

Our Classroom
Our Nursery classroom provides a warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment where our youngest children begin their journey of growth, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Guided by our mission to be 'called to love as God loves', we place Christ at the centre of our daily routines, with opportunities for prayer, worship, and reflection supported by a child-friendly altar as a focal point. Through thoughtfully designed continuous provision, children are encouraged to explore, play adventurously, and develop curiosity and independence. Our calm and nurturing space help us celebrate each child’s unique milestones, while gently supporting their development and fostering a strong sense of faith, joy, and belonging from the very start.
Outdoor Facilities
Our Nursery outdoor area is a rich, nature-inspired space that welcomes children all year round (even in almost all weather!) offering daily opportunities to explore, play, and grow. Through nature-based activities, children connect with the world around them, engaging their senses, building creativity, and developing essential gross motor skills as they move, climb, balance, and construct. Outdoor learning is valued just as highly as indoor learning, and our provision across both environments supports development in every area of the Early Years Curriculum. With plenty of space to take safe risks, imagine freely, and play adventurously, our outdoor area helps children build independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
